OUR MAY 2011 CHRISTIAN/CARNIVALE LOOKBOOK 05/18/2011
In case you're not able to make it in to the space this month to see for yourself, our May 2011 Lookbook illustrates our current concept. Finding our inspiration in Violet Aveline's and Matt DelBello's paintings and installations--yes, there's a fort, and, yes, you can sleep in it--we've curated a fashion collection that somehow manages to synthesize conservative Christian attire with carnivale-esque constumery and fantasy. Think of good wholesome citizens across the eras heading to the county fair for a dose of carney culture, kids at summer camp singing "God is good, God is great," digging into grandma and grandpa's closet to play dress-up and romping through the streets of small town America in too-big heels. Think Easter Sunday every day.
