We're heading off for our April 2011 Oregon Coast Lookbook shoot with all this awesome jewelry in tow, in case you come by looking for something (we KNOW several of you have your eyes on the new Kat Seale pieces), it'll be back on Monday! If anyone is interested in purchasing any of these pieces, they'll be at the coast until Monday, but we're happy to secure them for your future purchase. Just give us a call at (503) 477-5124 or email info@goldenruleportland.com for details! Xoxo. Add Comment February marks the first month of what we hope will be a long relationship with Seattle-based jewelry designer Meghann Sommer. We've got several of her one-of-a-kind new-meets-old assemblages here now. Check her blog to see what's here! We are feeling so honored that Meghann brought us on to her Portland stock list along with longstanding local favorite Rad Summer! Aren't her look book images (above, and here) just amazing? And her jewelry is quite gushworthy, too. Come see! A person very special to us is responsible for some pretty pretty jewelry, which will be available through special order around the front of our building at Stand Up Comedy. The Autoctona launch part at The Oak Street Building last night was so lovely. We're having a lot of trouble keeping pieces stocked from Jamieson Diemer's new molten silver collection. They're accessibly priced between $30-$70, and the interlocking ring sets are SO much fun to fiddle with. They're like stress relief rings! Seriously, I bought the 5-piece small interlocking ring set and I've totally stopped biting my nails, chewing on my hair, picking the dead skin off my lip, and all kinds of other neurotic habits purely because I have the slidy little balls on this ring to play with! Alicia Justus, AKA jewelry designer/artist Madame X, thought our party was on Halloween proper as opposed to the night before, and showed up dressed to the 9s and ready to party as we were in the middle of packing up our October showcase. Fortunately for Alicia, she had other plans, too. Fortunately for us, she had a bunch of spells and fortunes to pass out. Jessica got one that said, "This too shall pass," and mine said, "You will be appreciated by your loved one for your inner qualities." We've been having trouble keeping her stuff stocked, so Alicia Justus just dropped off a whole new batch of her rad jewelry! We're not yet going to show you any jewelry online because we want you to come in and see it for yourself. Hint, hint. Ronit here. The other day I was in Golden Rule and Catherine Liu stopped by on her lunch break. Catherine mans Golden Rule's etsy page, and she's also a fantastic model. Wynde says that Catherine does not take a bad picture, and I agree. Just look at her work some of our current stuff for fall! Here she is trying out a warm and cozy vintage fur sweater and a pair of Annie M's long dangly earrings. There are such beautiful items in the shop right now that are perfect for autumn - wool jackets, velvet cloaks, silk blouses (all the rage these days) and felt hats - all gorgeous! My friend Natalie and her daughter Ramona came by Golden Rule the other day. We all had fun trying on the clothes and jewelry, especially Ramona! From fancy skirts to vintage and artisan jewels - there is so much fun stuff to play with here right now! We think these critters are really rad and we can't believe all y'all bone and fur and hoof and nail lovers haven't bought them! In addition to these guys, Melissa De Merit, has some awesome bird bone lockets planned for Golden Rule in October! | Our ability to continue this labor of love depends on you!
Please support Golden Rule by buying and selling with us, spreading the word and contributing to our cause! GOLDEN RULE
