This is Catherine, our Etsy girl. She's been promoted to model. Actually, she's kind of like the glue that holds Golden Rule together. We trust her with our business more than we trust ourselves, really. And she can't take a bad picture. Ever.              Talk about beauty and brains AND business! We're going to miss the heck out of Catherine this week while she's freelancing for Weiden & Kennedy. For her sake, we hope they give her real employment. For our sake we don't know what we'll do if they do Usually we get through 10-20 articles of clothing for our monthly Etsy shoot. This month we got through 60-70! Team-effing-work is what that's called. Huge thanks to models Jasmine, Emily, Amanda, Mauria, and, well, yours truly (for bathing suits that were too big for the other little ladies) and Catherine, who was a super model and a photographer!                           It was a really long day, but a productive one, absent that feeling of wanting to shoot yourself with exhaustion. A lot of fun, actually, because everyone was such a good sport. Tons of love, also, to new documentarian team-member Ronit, who took the awesome photojournalistic shots of our shoot. How meta. P.S. These are just iPhone photos of her LCD screen though! Mauria, a PPS special education assistant, is one of five people in the world (our mother, PGF's Britt Howard, a model, another model, and Mauria) who could actually fit into the teal leaver/suede corset. Amanda Luna will be working Monday's this month, but Saturday she was modeling. Amanda rocks all the curious 90s finds with effortless grace, and she was brave enough to don (and master!) not only a silk dress, but a bathing suit or two! Xoxo! She's a mom by night and a marketing professional by day, but her grandmother, who dabbled in modeling, told her it wasn't a bad thing to do on the side. What is it they say about never making employees (or in this case, volunteers) do something you wouldn't do yourself? Well, at Golden Rule that applies to donning an unflattering (we liked our legs before this) bathing suit for a parking-lot photo shoot.               Non-pixelated versions of all the clothes on yours truly can be found for sale on the Golden Rule Etsy page in the near future! Emily (who's last name we know not to use from the last time we tagged her on Flickr) doesn't like to have her picture taken. We can't for the life of us understand why but we're glad she humored us because no one looks better in boxy silk blouses.         See what we mean? Any silk blouse looks great on this lovely lady.
